Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, a renowned agribusiness expert and Group CEO of Agri-Impact Limited, has been appointed as an Ambassador of the E-Learning Centre for the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The honour was conferred by the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, Professor (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, during the 2024 International Youth Day celebration held at the university.
Organised by Agri-Impact Limited on August 12, 2024, the event formed part of the company’s commitment to youth empowerment through agribusiness.
Mr. Acquaye becomes one of only two individuals to receive this distinguished recognition, joining Professor Dale P. Johnson, Director of Digital Transformation at Arizona State University (ASU), who was similarly honoured by the University.
In her remarks, Prof. Dickson commended Mr. Acquaye’s contributions to youth development, stating: “We are honoured to put this decoration on you for all the hard work you are doing for the young people of this country.”
A citation presented to Mr. Acquaye and read by Professor Eric Appau Asante, Director of the KNUST E-Learning Centre, praised his “commitment to our partnership with Agri-Impact and dedication to providing dignified and fulfilling job opportunities to the youth.”
In a related recognition, the KNUST E-Learning Centre recently named its state-of-the-art Drone Simulation Unit after Mr. Acquaye, in acknowledgement of his visionary support for technology-driven agricultural training and innovation.
