Benedicta Baaba Bartels is a passionate and dedicated early-career professional in the field of agribusiness, bringing a blend of academic knowledge and hands-on project experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), equipping her with a strong foundation in the business principles of agriculture.
Benedicta has actively engaged in several high-impact agricultural development projects in Ghana, serving as an Associate Coordinator providing crucial support in the implementation and day-to-day operations of key initiatives. Her professional experience includes contributing to the Ghana EXIMBANK Youth in Greenhouse Enterprise Project (YuGEP), a $5 million program supporting youth-led agri-tech start-ups, where she assisted in reviewing business plans, coordinating training sessions for over 150 aspiring agri-preneurs, and facilitating the award process for innovative greenhouse ventures.
She has also gained valuable exposure to large-scale value chain projects including the AGRA-funded Ghana Cassava Industrialization Partnership Project (GCIPP) and the Smallholder Inclusive Productivity and Market Access (SIPMA) project, contributing to farmer mobilization, consortium coordination, and organizing training for Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs).
