HAPPY Program

Ama Gyan is a seasoned Community Development and Social Inclusion expert with nearly two decades of experience designing and strengthening inclusive development systems across Ghana and West Africa. She brings deep expertise in gender-transformative programming, youth economic empowerment, safeguarding systems, and inclusive financial ecosystems within agricultural and extractive value chains.

At Agri-Impact Group, Ama serves as Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Manager, where she leads inclusive diagnostics and co-creates strategies that ensure women, youth, and marginalized populations are meaningfully integrated into agricultural market systems. Her work translates complex social and economic barriers into structured, evidence-based pathways that drive sustainable and equitable outcomes.

Ama has led large-scale community initiatives across Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Côte d'Ivoire, strengthening grassroots financial inclusion systems, improving access to economic opportunities, and enhancing collective agency and resilience among underserved populations. She has worked with government institutions, traditional authorities, donor-funded programs (including USAID-supported initiatives), private sector actors, and civil society organizations.

She holds an MBA in Total Quality Management and a bachelor's degree in development studies. She is professionally trained in child protection, responsible supply chains, and project management.
