"I spent years unemployed because of my disability. The HAPPY Program didn't just give me skills — it gave me back my dignity."
Ubirabi Baatak, 34, is the eldest of seven siblings living in the Saboba District in the Northern Region of Ghana. Born with an amputated right arm, he spent years unable to find meaningful employment with only a Junior High School certificate. The HAPPY Program enrolled him in agricultural training, provided a starter pack and market linkages, and connected him with a buyer network. Today he runs a successful maize farming enterprise and is mentoring other youth in his community.
