Hon. Brian Acheampong, Minister of Food and Agriculture, applauded Agri-Impact Group for championing the use of greenhouse technology in tackling food insecurity and post harvest loss in Ghana amidst issues on climate change experienced around the world. He said this during his tour of the Dawhenya YuGEP enclave which is the largest of the greenhouse vegetable production enclave in Ghana. 

The minister encouraged the Group to expand its capacity building activities to cover a wider range of the youth towards the improvement of Ghana’s transformative agribusiness agenda. 

The Chief Executive Officer of Agri-Impact Group, Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye on his part thanked the minister for his visit and called on Government's commitment towards investing in the horticultural sector, particularly similar greenhouse technology villages across the region; fostering hands-on training and easy understanding of theoretical course outlines.

He also called for support from the government to facilitate revamp of access roads to the greenhouse facility and other nearby farms in the vicinity.
