Happy International Women's Day
Today, we salute the trailblazing women who drive progress with their resilience and wisdom. At Agri-Impact Limited, our warmest wishes go out to all women worldwide. As we rally around this year's theme, "Invest in women: Accelerate progress", we acknowledge the pivotal role of women in agriculture.
Aligned with this theme, the Harnessing Agricultural Productivity and Prosperity for Youth (HAPPY) program, an initiative of Mastercard Foundation in collaboration with Agri-Impact Limited and 8 other implementing partners, aims to unlock agri-enterprise opportunities in production, mechanization services, processing, e-commerce, agri-journalism, agri-influencers, agripreneurship, and youth-led digital technologies for 228,000 young women and impact Ghana by producing 190,000 metric tonnes of food, generating revenue of $200million and reducing import by 10%.
The HAPPY program is on a mission to create quality job opportunities for young Ghanaian women and transform agri-food system through youth-led digital technologies, value addition and agri-entrepreneurship for more inclusive prosperity.
