He is an agribusiness/Value Chain Development professional with over 16 years’ postgraduate professional experience. As an agribusiness and project management person with vast experience on the African continent, Mr. Amekuse has served as a consultant to several local and international institutions including the EU, TRIAS, USAID, UNDP, ICCO, etc.
Mr. Amekuse has led in the formation and nurturing agribusiness enterprises in West Africa. His support to SME’s in Ghana, Liberia and Burkina Faso alone, has generated sales of over $30million in five years. He has a good understanding of the local natural products industry and international markets and has worked with public agencies and departments, researchers, over 70 SME’s (exporters and herbal manufacturers), 2 product associations, 60 rural enterprises and 11,000 collectors/agents in as well as leading buyers in South Africa and USA.
Mr. Larry Amekuse has co-authored several publications on natural products including spices, herbal teas and medicinal plants.
Larry holds a BSc. (Hons.) Agriculture from KNUST and an Executive MBA in Project Management from the University of Ghana.
