The Berekuso Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound was supplied with the sum of GHC15,731.00 and sanitary materials, hand sanitizers, liquid soup, detergents, paper towels, toilet rolls.
AIC is the leading agribusiness firm in Ghana which has established the Agribusiness Entrepreneurial Training Institute and a Greenhouse production and Training Centre at Berekuso. The centre offers training for youth, investors, and institutions and has trained more than 200 young graduates under Ghana EXIM Bank Youth in Greenhouse Enterprise Project. It presented these supplies to the medical facility in fulfilment of the company’s corporate social responsibility to communities and its support to combat COVID-19
With AIC’s presence in the community, the company responded in kind and cash to the clinic’s request for support to upgrade the facility to a health centre status by donating in full, the cost of,
- Laboratory equipment, (centrifuge, microscope, spectrophotometer).
- Plumbing works, electrical works and masonry works.
Mrs. Juliana Asante-Dartey presented the items on behalf of Agri-Impact and said AIC believes in giving back to the community and leading by example.She further urged the public to observe the strict protocols and preventive measures declared by the government to prevent further spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Receiving the items on behalf of the clinic was Mrs. Emily Osman, Acting Municipal Director of the Ghana Health Services, Akwapim South. She expressed her appreciation to the company and called upon other corporate bodies to do same.
