SEPT Competence Center Welcomes Agri-Impact Group CEO for Working Visit on Agri-Tech, Agribusiness, and Capacity Development Collaboration

On 28 May 2026, the SEPT Competence Center at Leipzig University welcomed Mr. Daniel Fahene Acquaye, Group CEO of the Agri-Impact Group, for a working visit focused on strengthening collaboration in the areas of Agri-Tech, agribusiness, and capacity development.

During the meeting, the Agri-Impact and SEPT teams engaged in productive discussions on opportunities for joint project development, knowledge transfer, and professional training initiatives aimed at supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within Africa’s agricultural sector. Particular attention was given to opportunities for strengthening skills and institutional capacities through SEPT’s advanced training programmes, including the MBA programme, the Export Manager Advanced Training (EMAT), the Certified Innovation Manager Training, and Process Optimisation Training.

The discussions also explored the development of collaborative projects to support the scaling up of AgriTech start-ups in Ghana and across Africa. Both institutions highlighted the growing importance of innovation-driven agriculture and the need to equip emerging enterprises with the skills, networks, and technological capabilities required for sustainable growth.

In his remarks, Prof. Utz Dornberger emphasised the transformative role that AgriTech start-ups can play in the modernisation of African agriculture, particularly as technology-intensive suppliers driving agricultural technologization and innovation ecosystems.

The visit marked an important step toward deepening cooperation between SEPT and Agri-Impact Group, with both sides expressing strong interest in continuing engagements to further develop strategic partnerships and impactful initiatives for agricultural transformation in Ghana and Africa.
