The newly appointed VC of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technoloigy, Professor Akosua Dickson visited the YUGEP greenhouse construction site at the Faculty of Agriculture to be briefed on progress made so far along with steps being taken to start production.
The greenhouse project funded by EXIM Bank is near its completion with production to start in a few months’ time. Present at the meeting were the outgoing VC, Professor Obiri Danso, CEO of Agri- Impact Consult, Mr. Dan Acquaye, incoming Provost of College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the CEO of EXIM Bank, Mr. Agyin Sam. The University team toured the facility and were briefed on work done so far on the site.
Fruitful discussions were held thereafter to ensure the project becomes successful. The University on the other hand, pledged its fullest support to this laudable venture implemented by agri-impact consult and were ready to pull their resources to ensure the objectives of the project is achieved.
