The €1,184,956.00 project was championed by Agri-Impact Consult (AIC) over the project period. AIC was instrumental in collecting baseline data on participating farmers for end of project evaluation, building the technical and managerial capacities of value chain actors in high value horticultural products to increase income and improve livelihoods.

The Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) awarded Fresh Logistics (FL)/AIC a project support grant amount of $350,000 for the period of March 25, 2021, to March 24, 2022 (12 months) as part of the bigger project titled “Demand Creation for Impact Scaling (DeCIS) for Orange -Fleshed Sweet Potato (OFSP) value chain in in Volta, Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Central regions of Ghana to improve food nutrition & security and livelihoods.

H.E. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia visited the sales booth of AIC at  “the This is Ghana” exhibition organized by Citi Media at the forecourt of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly office at the Central business district in Accra from the 27-28 of August 2022.

Fresh logistics, a subsidiary and a marketing outfit of the Agri-impact group participated in this two day “This is Ghana” exhibition.

The Two-day event brought together businesses and investors to collaborate and for businesses to showcase what they have to offer the public and the international community.

Agri-impact in its line of duty providing advisory services to private sector has noted the gap in skills set between graduates and expectations of private sector entrepreneurs. Even though graduates face significant employment challenges, there are also good employment opportunities in the private sector for which the skills gap has become a disincentive for hiring. The teeming unemployed youth if properly oriented with tools and skills will adequately prepare them for future opportunities.

Demand for high starch yielding cassava roots for industrial processing is projected to increase due to private sector investments and the 1D1F policy. It is critical for farmers to increase productivity from 10MT-12MT per acre to 20-24MT to industrial demand. It against this background that AIC under the Ghana Cassava Industrialization Partnership Project (GCIPP) funded by AGRA organized capacity development workshops.
